Electrostatics Powder Coating
Electrostatics powder coating system was installed on an area of 1,000 m2 and a fully automatic conveyor system was coupled.
The coating system consists of three phases:
1. System cleaning (pre-process)
2. Powder coating implementation (manual or robotic)
3. Oven drying
The products are protected against corrosion with electrostatic powder paint and visualized in the desired colors.* The requested tests can be implemented.
1. System Cleaning (pre-process)
In order to increase corrosion resistance, products are employed to hot oil cleaning, rinsing, coating of hot iron phosphate processes before coating. Then, products are subjected to passivation and entered to drying oven.
2-Powder Coating Implementation (manual or robotic)
Implementation of powder coating is based on electrostatics. Electrostatically loaded powder particles are conveyed to paint gun at a particular pressure and sprayed into product material which was earthed earlier. Due to negative (or positive) loading to powder, an attraction between powder coating and surface of product is occurred and powder sticks electrostatically.
The products passed from coating process are entered to 180-220°C oven. Coatings at surfaces of products are melted. So that, coating diffused and adheres to surface.
Acceptable product sizes for coating:
Width:550 mm Length:3000 mm Height:1800 mm
PERFECT COATING: Polymerization of coating material at drying stage provides coating material adhered to product inside the oven. Finally, the coated product shows an excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, chemical effects, and impacts.
EASY MAINTENANCE: Maintenance of coating systems are easy. Coating cabinet and guns are cleaned with pressured air at the alteration of color.
PROTECTING ENVIRONMENT: Petrol based solvents are not included in powder coating. Therefore, it is environment friendly. It does not only protect environment but also safe health of the operator. The operator only uses a powder mask.
ECONOMY: Economic reasons for using powder coating:
- Excessively employed powder is reused.
- Does not need pre-coating.
- Does not need pre-treatment and is used as bought from suppliers.
Usage Areas of Electrostatic Powder Coating
Powder coating is widely used from automotive to construction, from white goods to bicycles industries. Electrostatic powder coating is also applicable to aluminum parts and sheets, lift systems and all kinds of metallic materials.
